I sold $250,000 last month with my Simplx account….
September 10th, 2009
Last month I drop shipped over $250,000 of product with my Simplx account on eBay and I did so with the efforts of just me and my fiancee. I felt like I needed to blog about this fantastic accomplishment because it is the type of positive press that prospective Simplx users need to hear and that existing users want to know.
Simplx really has an amazing program and the ONLY real drop shipping method that WORKS in my opinion. I have been selling stuff on eBay for years and I will challenge the Simplx selling method against any other program out there.
I started thinking about the Simplx product today and realized we need to do better on telling the world about Simplx and showing the world how to make it work for them. There are millions of products in the Simplx network and millions of customers on eBay. I’m not afraid what a little competition from Simplx users might do to the success that I’ve been having personally on eBay.
For a small monthly fee Simplx gives people the ability in this down economy to provide for themselves without the fear of what future economic circumstances may hold for their job and their finances. There is no reason for anyone interested in selling product online not to get started with Simplx. You will make money if you stick to it and try to get the help you need. I can sit down with anyone and in a matter of a few days I can have an eBay account with a rating that is ready to sell, a way to start collecting money into your bank account, and products listing and selling that are making you at least $10 per product. We are drop shipping products here so don’t try to find a product that will make you a $100 if it sells. It takes me less than 10 minutes of my life to take a prospective customer from the beginning to the end of their buying experience from me on eBay. That includes emails I have to answer from a prospective customer, receiving and fulling the order from a buyer, answering the buyer’s questions after the sale, fulfilling the order for my customer with the drop ship supplier I have identified, and recording the sale in my sales tracker. That means that in 60 minutes of my life working in my eBay business I should be able to produce $60 an hour. To me that number speaks volumes in terms of scaling a business. If I can produce $60 an hour with a system that most of the time is spent in data entry and customer service, then I can hire people at $10 per hour and scale the business as large as eBay market permits. You may not care about that and be fine with generating $60 an hour with the time you have at home working on your computer. At a minimum every Simplx client should be doing at least that.
The tools and resources that I personally have access to are no different than what a Simplx client has access to that is paying $40 a month. I think $40 a month for a system that should be generating $60 an hour with the time you are spending is a no brainer. I am committing from today forward to getting more involved with Simplx customers and helping them be successful with their eBay sales. As I stated in a previous blog, I am committing to providing more regular blog entries and helpful information for prospective and current Simplx members. I want to make myself available as much as possible to helping you. I am successful on eBay because of Simplx. You should be too and I want to help.
Stay tuned for future blog entries of topics I feel like we need to discuss. We’ll start with these headlines for my next 2 entries when I get a free moment….
1. IS SIMPLX A SCAM???
2. WHY WOULD PEOPLE BUY FROM ME ON EBAY IF THEY CAN BUY FROM THE SAME STORES I HAVE ACCESS TO ON SIMPLX?

Hi Adam,
Thanks for the great info. Please answer a few questions when time permits. Do you only sell at Ebay? Would Simplx provide a website for me to sell the products or do I need my own website to sell. What is the monthly charge to have access to Simplx? What is the name of your Storefront in Ebay so I can check out your business?
Sincerly,
Rey

Hi Rey,
Thank you for your questions. Yes I sell only on eBay but there are plenty of Simplx members that sell just from their own website without using eBay. Simplx has a few different options between $100 and $300 to get set up and trained and a monthly fee around $40. My eBay user ID is irebates.
Simplicity Group owns several different products one of which is called MallShare which gives you a website similar to one like SimpleRebates.com. You can see how that technology works by visiting irebates.net. If you are interested in that product contact sales@irebates.net.
Best Regards,
Adam

[...] Simplx can’t help you make money (see this post) [...]

I took a look at the SimpleRebates.com site and the %’s there seem so low. Ebay charges such high fee %’s that it doesn’t seem that you can make a profit. Can you name one store that you go through that you can make a profit using? I had a membership to the ClubDropShip.com for a while but couldn’t seem to find a store that offered enough of a rebate that I could make even a $10 profit. I would consider rejoining if you could show me how you make your profit on just one item.
Thank you,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,
Thank you for your comment. It is true that the margins to make ClubDropShip.com work are small; the model is successful with volume. The percentages on SimpleRebates.com are half the amount of what is shown on ClubDropship.com. The profits in this model really do come with every extra percentage that you can save here and there. For example, with the $250,000 in volume I ran last month I was able to add an additional $2,500 to my bottom line by making sure all that volume was processed through a credit card that pays 1% cash back.
I will illustrate one example of a product that can make money, but first there are a few concepts and facts about the eBay marketplace that sellers have a hard time understanding it seems. First, eBay has worked hard over the years to be a source for buyers to prefer to purchase new products on Buy It Now auctions and now the number of successful BIN auctions has surpassed reserve and no reserve auctions. Secondly, many buyers purchasing products from BIN auction sellers are willing to pay more on eBay than from an online retail store. I will spend some time later this week and dedicate a new blog to why this is. For the purposes of my response to your comment all we need to focus on is, people do pay more, and they always will pay more, and if you don’t take advantage of that opportunity then some other eBay seller will.
Ok, with that basic foundation let’s take a look at the first product I pulled up when I went to Buy.com.
http://www.buy.com/prod/archos-7-320gb-internet-media-tablet-audio-player-video-player-photo/q/loc/101/212313867.html
This is an Archos 7 320gb MediaPlayer. When I pulled up completed listings on eBay for this exact same product I saw closed auctions at $356, $380, and $450. The product retails for $549. If you click on the link above you will see that you can ship this product for free to your customer’s door for $299. Immediately you can see how this will make you a profit. Most products have much smaller margins than this one, which is where you will see how critical the $6 you would get from ClubDropship.com and another $3 to $6 from your credit card plays into making a profit and makes it much easier to find products to sell. When I take an average of the 3 data points I found in eBay and plug that number ($395) into my Simplx calculator, it shows me that my total profit after fees and commissions is $79.02. Again, this is an extreme example, but I just picked the first product I saw on Buy.com and ran the analysis. Generally if I’m making $10 to $15 per product then I am satisfied with the profits. That is really how I hit the Titanium powerseller status. So even though I could possibly make $79 per sale on this item I would prefer to plug the product first into my calculator with a $15 profit margin in mind and then set the BIN auction accordingly. This allows me to be super competitive against other sellers and really be able to list almost any product I find and have it sell at least once in a 60 day period, which is what needs to happen to make it worth keeping in my inventory.
Stay tuned for a couple of blog posts that will support some of these concepts and help answer your question better.
Regards,
Adam
P.S. If you have already paid the membership fees for your account, you will not have to pay again. We can simply reactivate your account.

Hi Adam,
Thank you so much for responding in such detail. How would I go about reactivating my account? Also how can I get a copy of your simplx caclulator formulas. That would probably help me out a lot.
Thanks again,
Sandra

You’re welcome Sandra. I’ll have Amanda or Carly give you a call to help get your account reactivated. I can send you a copy of the spreadsheet files I created to help calculate profits/loss. There are several different files based on the category and the type of auction you are selling since eBay varies their fees. You should still be familiar with spreadsheets and adjusting formulas just enough to make changes to the commission column based on the Simplx supplier you end up using to process the order. I’ll email them to you.

Hi Adam,
Thank you. I look forward to receiving your email with the spreadsheets. You have been a big help. I appreciate it very much.

Help I can not for the life of me find the or a dropship for the necklaces I want to sell. There is another seller on ebay called silver_rush 2000. Please can some one tell me how to find this wholesale this is the top of my bucket list before I pass
September 28th, 2009 at 8:58 am
Hmm, not sure. I did look up his user ID and that seller has more than 2000 different items for sale. The 200+ silver necklaces that I saw in his inventory all look like custom made jewelry. Are you sure that the seller doesn’t custom make the jewelry themselves?

Hello Adam:
I came across Simplx on the internet and was very interested until I read the bad reports on them. I am the kind of person that reads both sides of the story. I do believe you explained the bad reports on Simplx to the best of your ability.
Nevertheless, I am still not comfortable to just become a member so quickly.
Your post, “I sold $250.000 last month with Simplx” did catch my attention, and as Sandra requested from you the spreadsheet files you created to help calculate profits/loss along with the Simplx calculator formulars. It would make me understand how you make that kind of money in a month much less in a year.
I will look at your Ebay store from your user ID you posted, to see
the products you sell from Simplx.
Thank you,
Karen.

Karen,
Thanks for your candid response. Actually if I wrote a new blog entry similar to that one last month it would more accurately read, “I sold $600,000 this month with Simplx.” : ) It’s getting pretty crazy now as Christmas is approaching. Anyway I just say that because, even though there is a learning curve that every new Simplx member must go through before achieving their sales objectives, there is no reason that each Simplx member shouldn’t be reaching those goals. I know most people are just looking for a way to make an extra $300 or $400 per month. The eBay market is so large and there are so many product listings that close successfully every hour that tens of thousands of Simplx users should easily obtain that conservative monthly income goal.
Regards,
Adam

Customer service was mentioned in one of your postings. Are all your employees on board with that effort? I have been Simplx curios. On two occasions, I spoke to the same Simplx representative. He was more interested in signing me up than answering my questions. I am just not comfortable with that person. Please research your files, identify that individual, then have someone else contact me at 972-704-4797. I would like to get a better understanding of how Simplx could help me to be a better online Ebay seller.

Lancelot,
I sent your comment to our customer service manager to contact you about this. Thank you for your feedback and please let me know if you still don’t get the type of top notch service that we are committed to providing.

Adam,
I must say I have been contacted by Aron Davis to join your company after I have applied, I did some research on google and saw that there is a lot of scam posts,I really thought backing off from it, till I read your blog here, and saw your user ID, did a terapeak on your user ID and I must say its impressive, $558,236 is a really big amount to sell on eBay, count me in as an eBay gold powerseller I will be all day on your system searching for goods,
Thank you for this post.

Then again, I did not look very well, I clicked on one of the products and apparently you have been suspended from eBay, and what the hell is this
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=irebates&ftab=AllFeedback
This make me think now, are you a con artist? you have to many negative feedback there
November 20th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
Hi Effy,
Please read my latest post titled “PayPal Woes…” on the blog. You can access it here:
http://blog.simplx.com/paypal-woes/2009/11/10/
The viability and success of the Simplx program and what you can do personally with your Simplx account is in no way indicative of the negative feedbacks on my old account. We have been working closely with eBay to resolve all outstanding customer orders with eBay and they suspended the account on my request because customers are no longer able to leave negative feedback on the account while it is in suspension. After we have resolved all outstanding orders (which we are doing by just issuing refunds since PayPal won’t release the funds) then we will decide if the best course of action is to try and push new clean sales at a much slower pace through the account to clean it up or start a new account. The trust and safety team at eBay will provide us with either option.
If you have any specific questions for me about this please feel free to drop me an email. However you should get a lot of good information in the blog mentioned above.
Best Regards,
Adam

I am new to the world of online business and consequently careful of how I invest my dollars. I have owned a small construction company and am also a realtor. I am ready to invest in the Simplx model but would like some help. I understand the risk involved with any business and know firsthand the dedication required to run one. I am half way throught my business plan and have some specific questions to ask. I too have experienced the difficulty of dealing with the reps at simplx, however I have to say they have followed up with me in a timely fashion. I would like to chat with you sometime. Please feel free to email me at skpbrown@gmail.com.
P.S. I am ready to start as soon I my business plan in about two weeks.
